Time & Location
Artists Unlimited Presents
THE GURU GURU has been happily dealing in borderline rock since 2012, combining feverishly angular guitars with off-kilter, poly-rhythms all complimented by erratic and unhinged vocals.
Their new double EP 'It's a (Doggy Dog) World' & 'Live in Antwerp' is set to be released on the 25th of June.
So check in and be the first to hear their new songs!

While influences are drawn from the likes of METZ, Pere Ubu, Deerhoof, The Jesus Lizard, The Mars Volta & Andy Kaufman, the indie-math- psycho-noise rulebook is torn apart, resulting in erratic songs that somehow seem to develop into wriggling earworms.
Praised for their live performances, THE GURU GURU is a must-see... With palpable, electric energy oozing from the stage, vocalist Tom Adriaenssens balances on the verge of theatrical psychosis.
TGG has made their mark playing across Europe sharing stages with the likes of Brutus, Raketkanon and Kapitan Korsakov as well as appearing at festivals such as ArcTanGent (UK), Portals (UK), Ment (SLO), Monkey Week (ESP), Rock Herk (BE), Sziget (HU) and Pukkelpop (BE). They played +- 200 domestic and international shows (France, Spain, UK, Reunion Island, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia) in the last 3 years. After releasing a promising EP, 7 inch, 10 inch (split record with fierce trio Brutus), their debut album ‘PCHEW’ (which recently sold out) and their 2nd full album ‘POINT FINGERS’ (mixed by David Bottrill), the band releases a new double EP. An EP with 4 new songs and 4 live songs from the ‘Point Fingers’ album. The EP will be available on vinyl with on the A-side the EP ‘It’s a (Doggy Dog) World’ and on the B-side the EP ‘Live in Antwerp’. ‘It’s a (Doggy Dog) World’ will also be released digitally and on CD. Because of the Covid-19 crisis the band has lost its ‘Point Fingers’ momentum. A few days after their release shows Belgium went into lockdown. With this double EP they want to get the album back into the spotlight.
Following the release of their acclaimed 2nd album ‘POINT FINGERS’ at the start of the Covid-19 crisis, the band set out to show the world that they will not be discouraged. TGG struck back with a new batch of songs that wriggle themselves into your ears, as well as several live versions of tracks from their sophomore album.
The Guru Guru's latest avant-garde offering was recorded and fully self-produced, with the mixing duties completed by the band's very own Emiel Van Den Abbeele (guitarist and producer) at Farrm Studio, Hasselt. The project was completed throughout many stages of the global pandemic in 2020/2021. Expanding on the band's addictive brand of tangential, progressive-rock, ‘IT'S A (DOGGY DOG) WORLD’ leads listeners down The Guru Guru's twisted rabbit hole; fraught with tales of the road, self-depreciation, controversy and political conspiracy.
Experimenting with industrial sounds and spaces, Bass player Brent Mijnendonckx recorded the sounds of heavy machinery at the factory where he works, adding depth while using his unique sound design skills. TGG keeps on pushing and expanding their boundaries. Nothing is impossible.
