In the south of Italy, the tradition of the 'serenata' is still honored to this day: the evening before the wedding, the groom goes with entourage and guitar to the house of the bride-to-be to hear Love and Life under the balcony. sing. (City) soprano Noémie Schellens and guitarist Maarten Vandenbemden bring virtual serenades from under the Neapolitan sun to the fragrant gardens of Aranjuez, from the compelling opera arias of Vincenzo Bellini to the nostalgic sound world of Reynaldo Hahn. Pieter Embrechts is the bard of duty. With sultry love poems, playful stories and exciting songs, it is a true love spectacle. In the beautiful baroque church / concert hall of Amuz, under the imposing works of art by Jan Fabre, intimately lit by hundreds of candles, this concert becomes the perfect Valentine's gift for yourself, your loved one or your loved ones.
With fire, a touch of melancholy, the crystal clear voice of Noémie, the virtuoso guitarist Maarten and the indispensable mischievous wink of Pieter - together they bring a true hymn to Love and Life!

Noémie, soprano, is the youngest of five to grow up in an art-loving family. She is fascinated by the power of cinema, Callas during cooking, the dedication of her singing violin teacher, traveling and acting.
She obtained her Master's degree in Singing at the Brussels Conservatory with great distinction. She perfected herself with Udo Reinemann (Fr) and Charlotte Margiono (Nl).
She sings Mozart and Berio with the National Orchestra of Belgium, concerts in Kinshasa and Kampala, performs in New Delhi and Sao Paolo, music theater with 4Hoog and Aardvork, sings creations by Peter Ritzen, Walter Hus and Peter Spaepen, forms a duo with guitarist Maarten Vandenbemden and plays in films Annette (Léos Carax), A Quiet Passion (Terence Davies), Achter de Wolken (soundtrack), ...

If there was a prize for Flanders' most productive and versatile artist, Pieter Embrechts would have defenitly won it multiple times. Pieter has developed his all around skills with help of the master himself, Jan Decleir. This multi-talented actor finds his way in not only television, theater and movies but has also proved to be an excellent writer and Director for big theater and TV-prodcutions such as W @ = d @, Mijn sport is top on KETNET, Het PeulenGaleis, De Smaak van De Keyser, May I kiss you on EEN, TV presenter and co-contributor for Man Over Woord on CANVAS. You name it, Pieter does it all.

Maarten Vandenbemden (1994) is born in a house full of guitars and receives his first guitar lessons from his father Roland. Thirteen years later, his path leads from Tervuren to Antigoni Goni's class at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he obtained the master's degree in guitar with distinction and the master's degree in music writing with great distinction.
In February 2017 Maarten is a finalist of the first Honda Competition for Classical music. In November of that year, he was nominated by the Brussels Conservatory as the laureate of the prestigious Horlait-Dapsens fair. Season 18-19 includes concert tours to Italy, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Jordan and China.
