When brutality meets supremacy, STORM UPON THE MASSES is born on the battlefield which is called death metal.

The way it was meant to be played.  Furious, brutal and, above all, extreme.

When Brecht (vocals) Jurgen (guitar), Wim (guitar), Kris (bass), who all played in HORDES OF DEVASTATION,  joined Bart (drums) from ILL FARES THE LAND, a new extreme deathmetal monster was created.

Influenced by death metalgods such as Krisiun, Nephasth,  Suffocation, Vader, Vomitory, Vital Remains and Deicide, Storm Upon The Masses hails the same deathmetal supremacy which has conquered the metalscene decades ago.

2009 will mark the year of a new wind in Belgian Deathmetal: STORM will come...

Storm upon the masses is a new deathmetal band from Zonhoven, Belgium

Influenced by deathmetal gods like Krisiun, Nephast, Origin, Suffocation, Vader,... the band brings a salute to pure deathmetal without any compromises or modern trends.

March 2015 saw the release of our selfmade EP "Vengeance of Madness" on which mixing and mastering has been done by Stefano Morabito at 16th cellar (Hour of penance, Fleshgod apocalypse,Hideous Divinity...) .

The artwork was done by Marc Cooper. Liveshows received excellent reviews wherever the band played.

New songs for a debut album were written and recorded in their home studio by the end of 2017.

Mixing and mastered again by Stefano Morabito at 16th cellar. This time, the band worked together with Daemorph (Avulsed, the black dahlia murder,...) for the artwork.

The lyrical content and bandname represent what the band sounds like in the studio and on stage, a pure, brutal death-metal storm which is spread upon the masses.

In January 2018, Storm upon the masses signs a deal with Dolorem Records (France ), celebrated with the release of the first full album "The ones who came back".

Distributed by Season Of Mist worldwide, and available on Amazon, Itunes, Spotify, Bandcamp, Youtube, etc.. the album received great reviews all over the world.

Throughout 2019, SUTM played many shows and gathered good feedback all over. Shows with Beheaded, Noctem, Hate, Krisiun,... folowed and brought the band to a higher level.

In 2020, the band will write a follow-up for "The ones who came back".

Wound Collector is the brainchild of Peter Verdonck, a renowned saxophonist and composer who has earned his stripes in performances all across the globe with Thelema Trio, Manngold De Cobre, The Rhythm Junks, De Pandoering and many more. Yet his heart truly beats for death metal.

On a quest to combine this passion for death metal with his favoured instrument he teamed up with Nico Veroeven (Serial Butcher) on drums, Guy Van Campenhout (Notti Del Terrore, Angeli di Pietra) on guitar and Kurt Hermans (Off The Cross, Herfst, Angeli di Pietra) on bass, each of whom brings considerable experience in various metalbands.

Wound Collector plays death metal with a historic twist and a demented saxophone. Each of the members has years of experience in playing and performing a variety of different styles of music.

In March 2020 Kurt Hermans decided to leave the band in order to pursue other musical goals. Due to the corona crisis that Spring it took a couple of months before replacement was found. However in July Stijn Deldaele (Blunt, Beat Love Oracle) joined the band.
